Versions
These are download links for all the Yume Nikki old versions we've obtained, neatly organized for your convenience. You may also get them from the Discs section, which will provide them exactly as we got them.
Downloads marked as "Untouched" provide the files as close as how we got them as we could. Most of them were uploaded without any modifications, but there's an exception with 0.04, which came as a loose folder and had to be compressed for the download. They are otherwise unmodified.
Downloads marked as "Repackaged" provide the versions in a slightly modified package. Most of these changes were originally made to make them fit within TCRF's size limit, but some users might prefer them because they make the game more lightweight and, normally, easier to install. Unless otherwise specified, the treatment they received is the following:
- Some files, neither of which affected the way the game works, were removed to reduce the weight of the download. The ones that are the most interesting for research purposes remain, including the readme, unused assets and thumbs.db.
- Versions that came in LZH archives were recompressed into different formats to reduce their weight and avoid mojibake problems.
